What Primary Bathroom Dreams Are Made Of

01 Mar, 2024 | Designer Spotlight |

The Nazeli Design team is almost ready to debut our clients custom brand new remodeled primary bathroom. We wanted to share the process of how we ended up going with this porcelain slab choice amongst many for our clients home. The primary bathroom is such a crucial area in home so our team wanted to make sure this was executed to perfection and would have our client in awe every time they stepped in there.

Although a smooth process is what is highly desired not only for the design firm but also for the client, it is not always the case. Sometimes you have to go through a back and forth process in order to achieve the greatest look in which you satisfy your clientele. When renovating this primary bathroom we had a few different options we sourced from Francini directly. We loved their huge selection of porcelain slabs and knew it was the right direction to steer our client to. Not only did we visit the slab yard to see first hand what our options were but also had the best immediate help from the Francini team to guarantee not only satisfaction on our end but our client as well.

We originally were going to move forward with a slab that had gray veining but as soon as we were closing to purchasing we went in another direction. Our client ended up approving the Calacatta Oro Lucidato slab and we could not be happier with it. The subtle veining was exactly what we envisioned with our client and loved the outcome. It was classic and timeless.

Although we loved this slab we did encounter some bumps in the road. When working with a big team on a project such as contractors and subcontractors you have to ensure everyone is on the same page. We had reached a turning point when we knew that the only direction to go in is with the Calacatta Oro Lucidato slab from Francini. We knew there was no other option that would suffice.

There are many other stone choices you can proceed with when working on a bathroom remodel. Quartz is also a viable option typically but the Francini porcelains are unbeatable. We weighed out our options with our client during the design process and found ourselves back here. We learned a lot through the help of Francini and also how important it is to hire the right fabricator when it comes to installation so that the flow of the slabs is seamless. Every stone requires different ways of cutting it precisely or else there is the risk of cracking it or even worse, it completely getting ruined. Sometimes certain damages are salvageable but for the most part you have to be careful during this tedious process.

This primary bathroom is what dreams are made of. The custom vanity with custom millwork and bookmatched walls is heavenly. The flow of it all creates such a unique aura. It becomes a private oasis for anyone who just essentially walks into the bathroom. That was our goal, to create a little “spa getaway” space for our clients who deserve it the most.
